WHAT DO WE NEED WATER FOR? We can’t live without water. All animals and plants need it. How about us? We can live without water for just three days but please, don’t try it. Our bodies are made of between 55-80% of water. If you lose just 2.5% of it your body cannot work well. It means that if you weigh 40 kg and lose 0,8 kg, your heart works too hard and your problems start.

WHAT ELSE DO WE USE WATER FOR? First, drinking. We should drink about 2 litres a day. We also get water from food, fruit, or vegetables. We cook things in water. We need water for washing our bodies, clothes, cars, dishes… We have to water plants in the fields. People also use water for recreation and sports. Which water sports do you know?
